KVASIR was a divine figure in Norse mythology, created from the collective spit of the gods as a symbol of wisdom and knowledge. According to myth, he came into existence after the war between the Aesir and Vanir had ended. To seal their peace, both groups of gods spit into a shared vessel. To prevent this sacred essence from being wasted, they created Kvasir, the wisest of all beings.

Kvasir was known for his boundless wisdom and his ability to answer any question, making him a revered figure among both gods and humans. He traveled across the world, sharing his knowledge, until he was betrayed and killed by two dwarves, Fjalar and Galar. They drained his blood and mixed it with honey, creating the legendary Mead of Poetry, which granted poetic inspiration and wisdom to those who drank it.

Later, the mead was stolen by the giant Suttung and hidden away, but Odin, the chief of the Aesir, managed to trick his way into obtaining it. He drank it and flew back to Asgard in the form of an eagle, where he shared the mead with the gods and select humans, particularly poets and skalds. In this way, Kvasir's wisdom lived on through the words and stories inspired by the Mead of Poetry.
